Team GB 7s Captain Katie Shillaker to Present Trophies at 2026 Sussex 7s Series Final

Team GB 7s captain Katie Shillaker will present the Series Trophies at the Grand Final on the 11th July at Haywards Heath Rugby Football Club.

Katie is one of the standout leaders in international rugby sevens, captaining Team GB on the world stage and competing across the World Rugby Sevens circuit.

​

Known for her pace, vision, and leadership, she’s been a key figure in the growth of the women’s game and brings elite-level experience, having started her rugby journey here in Sussex.

​

This will make this year’s Grand Final presentation even more special, as womens rugby continues to grow in Sussex.

​

Following a successful 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup in England, the Red Roses (England) won the final at Twickenham Stadium in front of a sold out crowd, which has accelerated the growth of women's sport across the country.

​

Rugby 7s is already an Olympic sport, and team GB 7s are preparing for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, where we hope to see local Sussex super-star Shillaker lead the team.
